Victim of a Pig-Butchering Scam? Here’s How I Recovered My Crypto
If you’ve fallen victim to a Pig-Butchering scam, you’re not alone, and more importantly, there’s still hope.
I’m sharing my story to raise awareness and help others who’ve been scammed recover their stolen digital assets. Two months ago, I lost $1,846,000 worth of Bitcoin and ETH in one of these sophisticated frauds.
It began with someone posing as a popular investor named “Ryan” on Instagram. His account looked legitimate, He reached out offering what seemed like a private, lucrative crypto investment opportunity. Everything seemed real, so I invested. Over the course of several weeks, I transferred significant amounts of crypto.
Then, without warning, the account was wiped clean. My entire balance gone.
I reported it to the authorities immediately, but despite their efforts, there was little they could do. Crypto transactions are notoriously hard to reverse, and scammers often route funds through multiple wallets to hide their tracks. Thankfully, a colleague with strong government connections referred me to a professional recovery team called Morphohack. He had heard they were reputable and had helped others in similar situations.
With nothing left to lose, I reached out and shared every detail I had, transaction records, addresses, communications. The Morphohack team responded quickly and took immediate action.
